Biblical Numerology

Numbers (numerology) of the Bible

We begin by reading the emphasis of certain numbers; especially 7, 12, 40, etc.
The 7 days of Creation, 7 dunks by Naaman, and multiple 7's in Revelation.
The 12 Tribes, 12 Apostles, the Zodiak - Jesus asked "Are there not 12 hrs in the Day?"

The 40 days and nights of rain, the 40 years they suffered in the wilderness,
the 40 yrs put for the 40 days, the 40 days Jesus was tempted of the devil.

The 39 books of the Old Testament: 3 and 3 squared.
The 27 books of the New Testament: 3 cubed.

Because a 3-fold cord is not easily broken.
Because we are Spirit, Soul, and Body - 2Thes5:23
Because He is Father, Word, and Holy Ghost - 1John5:7
Because he rose from the grave on "the third day".
Because his 'body' will rise on "the third day" (when a thousand yrs. = one day)

Because David was the 33rd generation from Adam (remember, Enoch was 7th)
and Jesus was the 66th generation, just like the number of books in the Bible
because he is also The Word, The Son, The Vine, The Author and Finisher, etc.

Do any numbers of the Bible have any particular significance to you?
